Rob Livingston

Rob Livingston joins REL with more than ten years of sales, sales management, retailing and marketing experience. He has served in both the public and private sector in the major markets of New York and Washington, DC. At REL, Rob leads the Artist Brand  Mangement Consulting practice.

Performing Artists, whether in film, music, or other media, must also recognize the unique image, or brand, that they present to the consumer.  Understanding and defining an Artist's Brand should be a key part of any long-term business plan developed by an artist and their management team. Rob will guide the Artist and their team  through the process of developing a comprehensive strategy to define, build awareness of the brand, and to expand the brand beyond the Artist’s core market.The outcome of this process is a roadmap that directs an artist towards opportunities that “make sense” for them and potential partners based upon the properties of their Brand.

Some of the REL clients were:  Brad Paisley, Halle Berry, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and Dave Koz.

Rob began his career as a lobbyist for the trade association Public Housing Authorities Directors Association (PHADA). As Director of Communications, he was responsible for marketing the association through publications and advancing the organization's agenda with both the executive and legislative branches of government, including former HUD Secretary Jack Kemp.

He transitioned from the public sector to corporate in 1994, joining the New York Mets baseball club in a corporate sales capacity. Rising through the ranks, Rob served as Director of Ticket Sales Development from 1996-2001.

At the Mets, his responsibilities included recruiting, hiring, training and managing a staff of more than 25 sales representatives. Specifically, the group focused on revenue development through corporate relationships in New York. Additionally, he supervised a telemarketing team in support of the outside sales program. Rob was also responsible for sales forecasting, compensation planning, pricing, packaging and implementing direct mail campaigns.

Following the Mets, Rob served in a media sales capacity for both America Online/Time Warner and ESPN Radio in Manhattan. During that time, he specialized in creating non-traditional revenue promotions and developing geo-targeted marketing campaigns.

Throughout his career, Rob has worked with many well-known and respected U.S. brands including Saturn Inc., Hooters Management Corporation, New York's Museum of Natural History, Sports Illustrated, and Fox Sports.
